Children – a Blessing – a Reward !
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Psalm 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Children are God’s blessing to a Mother and a Father. How awful when children are looked upon as a burden or a bother. HOW SELFISH !
Isn’t it a good thing that our parents took the time and money to help US grow up?! This must be motivated by genuine love – the unselfish giving of oneself to meet some other one’s needs.
So much of the world is motivated by lust – that can’t wait to “GET and USE”. Those who want to live the way the Lord Jesus Christ intended us to live – can’t wait to “GIVE and NURTURE”. Face it, we have such a small amount of time to love and care and enjoy the reward and blessing of our children – we better do it God’s way, the Bible way.
Ephesians 6:4 “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

O CANADA

O Canada
Our home and native land
True patriot love
In all Thy sons command
With glowing hearts we see Thee rise
The true north strong and free
From far and wide O Canada
We stand on guard for Thee
chorus:
GOD Keep our land
Glorious and free
O Canada
We stand on guard for thee
O Canada
We stand on guard for thee
Ruler Supreme
Who hearest humble Prayer
Hold our Dominion
In Thy loving care
Help us to find O GOD in Thee
A lasting rich reward
As waiting for The better Day
We ever stand on guard
Let’s consider CANADA’S heritage.
One hundred and forty three years ago the Dominion of Canada came into existence. The term dominion means “sovereign or supreme authority; the power of governing and controlling in a self-governing nation.” As the Fathers of Confederation met in 1867, a name for its new nation needed to be chosen. It was suggested to call our country the “Kingdom of Canada”; but this did not seem suitable.
Sir Leonard Tilley, Premiere of New Brunswick, proposed “Dominion of Canada”. This idea had come as he had been studying his Bible. He had recently been reading Psalm 72, with verse 8 standing out, “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea…”.
From the very beginning, God Almighty was understood to be our Ruler Supreme; the One Who would keep our land glorious and free. Even the preamble of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which was passed in 1981, states, “Whereas Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law…”
Today, there are those who want to remove the true God from His rightful place as the God over us. They want to have a secular society. Secularism is indifferent to, or completely rejects God and religion in public life. It teaches that life without God is normal. Others promote pluralism, which teaches that there are many true beliefs and that all religions have validity. They state that we “cannot impose Christian beliefs upon society.” In effect pluralists give validity to every religion it seems, except for Bible Christianity that rests upon Jesus Christ as Creator and the only Saviour.
As the LORD’S saved people, let us not be swayed by these atheistic/humanistic philosophies. Remember God’s promise to us: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD”. Psalm 33:12 Only as long as God has dominion over us will we be a land that is “glorious and free.”
Personally, on an individual basis, one can be made glorious and free through the salvation purchased by Jesus Christ for us when He died on Calvary’s Cross for our sins. When Christ shed His blood on that cruel cross it paid the penalty & debt of our sin in full for us. Jesus was then buried and rose from the dead the third day, the victor over death and hell for us.. He was seen by hundreds and is alive for evermore. If you would believe on the Lord Jesus as your own personal Saviour you would have your sins forgiven, be given the gift of righteousness & eternal life; and a home in Heaven for when you die. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Romans 8:21 “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Galatians 3:26 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

THE TRUTH OF IT ALL
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
A. The true God gives everyone light=truth about Himself inside & out! Romans 1:19-20 “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” God has given each the truth of His reality as Creator (v.20) and given an internal faculty (spirit) to have knowledge of God (v.19).
B. Clearly each is responsible for the light he/she is given. John 1:9 “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.”
C. When men respond to God’s light/truth He gives much more truth. John 7:17 “If any man will do his [God's] will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
Examples: READ Acts 10- Cornelius/Acts 8- Ethiopian eunuch. In both cases they’re responding to (acknowledging) the TRUTH/LIGHT they had already been given and God kept giving them more truth/light and the Gospel Light of Jesus Christ; and they responded again and they chose to believe on Jesus Christ and they got saved! THIS IS THE POINT OF IT ALL!
D. God’s will is that, not anyone go to Hell – but GET SAVED.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
E. Hell was prepared for Satan and his devils not originally for man. Matthew 25:41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” Man, really then is an intruder in Hell; and goes there by choice. Man too, like Satan, rejected God’s will; which for man would be to believe on Jesus Christ alone as personal Saviour and be saved forever!
John 3:17-18 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
F. Notice the choice many men make. John 3:19 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” You see, men choose evil because they love darkness rather than the true light that God has been giving them all through their lives at opportune times.
2 Thessalonians 2:10, 12 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” They refuse God’s love which is seen in His truth; they believe not the truth and chose the pleasure in unrighteousness. No man will be able to stand before God and say that He was unjust. For God has done all that is necessary to give men opportunity to be saved.
G. To Deny All Evidence God Gives Men of Himself Is To Be A FOOL the Bible declares! Psalm 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works…” The evidence is overwhelming Biblically and historically for the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This doesn’t have to be proven in light of all the readily and easily known evidence through the centuries. It must be dis-proven. It never has-never will! Why? Because it is true and God will always have His truth (John 1:9, etc.) circulating among men while there is still an earth to circulate!
Sadly, men will keep trying to disprove the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ and the Bible. But a blind man can be sweating with his head tilted back at noon day and say, “There is no sun.. there is no such thing as the sun!!!” But there will still be a sun in the heavens. There is still the living and true God Who created all things and then came to earth to walk in a man’s body & live a sinless life for 33+ years. This true God=Jesus Christ allowed His creation to nail Him to Calvary’s Cross as the Lamb slain for them – to pay for all THEIR sins. This is when He shed His blood and died for them as a sacrifice and a substitute. He was buried and then rose from the dead the third day victorious over sin, death, Hell and Satan for us!!! The risen Christ was seen by hundreds of witnesses and is alive for evermore! He went through all this so men and women and boys and girls could be saved from hell and go to Heaven when they die and live for ever in real peace and joy. Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

The Truth Can Be Known
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
The deep down yearning of every human being is to know more of the truth. The Lord Jesus Christ said, “.. I am the way, the truth and the life:no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
However, because of our sin nature and its inclination is to resist the truth, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way….” Isaiah 53:6a. What conflict human beings suffer inside. On the one hand yearning for more truth while knowing much of it; and then on the other hand, resisting the truth while embracing many other things as truth that are untrue. For an example, “The Eerie Silence is the title of Paul Davies’ new book summarizing the first 50 years of SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). More than $130 million has been spent scanning the universe for extra-terrestrial life, and the result has been ‘an eerie silence.’
It is described as ‘eerie’ only because SETI is based on evolutionary assumptions that life must have evolved on other planets. This problem is known as the ‘Fermi Paradox.’ In 1950 Enrico Fermi, an atomic scientist, was discussing the question of why evidence for a multitude of advanced civilizations has failed to turn up. He asked, “Where is everybody?” The answer has been in the Bible all along, and it is a Book that is scientifically accurate in all points. Whereas there is no observable evidence for Darwinian evolution, there is nothing but observable evidence for the Bible.
Simple predictions based on its teachings are either true or false and are therefore easily falsifiable. For example, the Bible says that all of life was created to reproduce after its own kind (Genesis 1). For thousands of years men have planted vegetables and raised animals, and it is an established law that life reproduces after its own kind. If corn turned into strawberries or dogs became bears, the Bible would be disproven, but this has never happened. Likewise, the Bible says that the earth was created for man and the stars were created as lights and signs for the earth. Thus, the Bible predicts that there will not be life elsewhere in the universe (except in Heaven). And this is exactly what modern science has discovered.
The ‘eerie silence’ disproves evolution and proves the Bible. Of course, die-hard evolutionists are forever hopeful of discovering evidence for their delusions, and they have never allowed scientific facts to get in their way.” (Church News Notes 6/4/10)
Again the Bible gives us the truth (facts) of the matter- “And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.“ Genesis 3:20
As humans, we are running this way and that, pursuing truth “we think” (?)may be, and we painfully wish would be! We desperately try … and think … and indulge … and experiment … and study … and travel .. and reflect. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12. We look within and are not pleased with what we see until someone comes along and tells us that, “It IS within you’ll find the truth. It just must be recovered and developed to be what you really always have been – a god yourself – complete and powerful and sufficient in the full realization of self. This crowd tells you as well, “It’s been those people all along that has confused you, telling you that you have a sin nature and that you are a sinner and need the truth of The Saviour” . (…. Who, by the way, IS THE TRUTH !! )
The Apostle Paul too dealt with this type of pluralistic society in the 1st centrury, Athens, Greece. He brought them from the many accepted “truths” to the One and Only Truth Jesus Christ. In Acts 17:21-34 “(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
22Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. 30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man [Jesus Christ=The Truth] whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. 32And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. 33So Paul departed from among them. 34Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them”
You see the Bible promises anyone who really wants to know the TRUTH, will seek after it and will find it the Bible and Jesus Christ; and of course, trust in the Lord Jesus and be saved! “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13. This is what Christ meant when He stated, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

BORN OF GOD
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
John 1:12-13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
The Gospel of John goes to great lengths to spell it out loud and clear again and again how a person can GET SAVED and hence BE SAVED FOREVER. There, the verb “believe” occurs 101 times. Believing is the very key to obtaining the only salvation ever offered to mankind and that only through Jesus Christ-God the Son. JESUS, great God and Saviour, has already paid for it in full on Calvary’s Cross and offers it to all but gives it only to “whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Some important facts one needs to know about God’s genuine salvation are as follows: #1) “should not perish” You are SAVED FROM something-eternal Hell. #2) “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” You are SAVED BY something – the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. #3) “In my Father’s house are many mansions … I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Finally, you are SAVED TO something – God’s perfect Heaven.
#4) As the opening verses state, you receive salvation by receiving Jesus Christ and that by simply by believing on His Name! “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” To believe means to “accept as true and trust fully”.
Hence, true salvation is by simple faith=believing in Jesus Christ alone, plus nothing. #5) “Which were born … of God. ” The instant we place our faith (believing, fully trusting) in the Lord Jesus as our personal Saviour, God’s power “births” us into His Family and Kingdom! A) We are NOT BORN OF of blood; that is, we can not inherit it through or because of our family. B) We are NOT BORN of the will of the flesh; that is, not by any personal works or self-effort, or good deeds, etc. C) We are NOT BORN of the will of man; that is, any collective effort through any type of religious organization, church, denomination that requires rituals or rules, sacraments, pilgrimages, and so forth.
It IS being BORN of God, spiritually, according to God’s prepared plan and through God’s power. Jesus said 3 times in John 3, “Ye must be born again” and Christ explained it “.. that which is born of the flesh is flesh (the one time physical birth) and which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (the once for all spiritual birth).
So, BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST AND BE SAVED FOREVER !!!

The Most Excellent Gospel of John
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
The 21 chapters of John are some of the most profound of all Scripture, like a fathomless sea or as the wisdom of God is described in Romans 11:33-36!
The Holy Spirit has already in the three prior Gospels presented the Lord Jesus Jehovah Christ as The King in Matthew, The Prophet in Mark, and The Priest in Luke. Now in John we have Jesus presented as the Creator God like Isaiah 40:9 said “Behold your God!” Jesus Christ is God the Son and Son of God. The purpose of John is the emphasis on the person of Jesus Christ as the eternal God Jehovah. Yes, oh yes, Jehovah is a triune God, being one God revealed in three distinct persons but as one in essence and attributes.
“Before Abraham was, I am”. John 8:58. Compare this with Exodus 3:14; Revelation 22:12-13; 21:6; 1:8, 11, 17-18, with Isaiah 41:4; 44:6; 48:12, 16-17! GLORY !!! If you follow honestly the chain of evidence in comparing the previous verses you realize that Jesus is Jehovah (LORD) as well as the Father and the Holy Spirit. This same God, the eternal WORD, came to earth and robed Himself in human flesh and walked among men: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
Awesome wonderful God – all because He loved us: “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” John 10:17-18 He came to die for our sins because there was absolutely no other rescue that could be made by anyone else, anywhere, ever! The rescue entailed PAYMENT! “The wages of sin is death”. All sin must be paid for. Either we pay for it forever in the Lake of Fire (Hell) or we let Jesus Christ pay for it – for us. He has already made the perfect sacrifice of His own blood on Calvary’s Cross. This totally satisfied the justice and wrath of God on sin once and for all and forever. Believing all these things about God and ourselves ……
We then repent, i.e. change our thinking about our condition, that because of our sin we deserve Hell and we have no other hope except through Jesus Christ, we will then turn from our sinfulness and everything else we were trusting to help us (in our own minds) earn Heaven and then turn to Jesus Christ and Him alone once and for all to forgive us and save us forever! As the great John the Baptist said in John 1:29b, “Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.”

Good Question
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
“What do you believe …?” Good Question, because if we believe right (like the Bible, viz. like God) then we know how to live right. Right beliefs/thinking bring about right living!
We believe the Bible is the living Word of God, God’s mind on every subject relevant to life and eternity! The Bible is God’s Words, given and kept for every generation, as He promised. We believe for those who read and speak English, the Authorized King James Version is the complete Word of God.
We believe Jesus is God as well as the Holy Spirit and the Father. We believe they are the triune Jehovah, the Godhead, the trinity, one living and true God revealed in three distinct persons with equal attributes.
We believe God is not willing that any should perish in eternal Hell, so Jesus the only begotten Son willingly came, as the Father gave Him, and the Holy Spirit glorified Him. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only Saviour for all peoples for all ages. Salvation is a gift that Jesus Christ Himself paid for by dying for all mankind’s sins and shedding His blood on Calvary’s Cross. He satisfied the holy wrath and justice of God and purchased our salvation by living a sinless perfect life, dying our death for us (the awful cost of sin) and shedding His precious blood. He was buried and rose from the dead 3 days later, was seen by hundreds and is alive for evermore! He IS coming back again.
The Lord Jesus has left His faithful Churches to carry out His Commission to preach the Gospel to every creature, here and abroad. We are to tell folks everywhere the whole message about Jesus Christ. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Hence, salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, plus nothing, minus nothing. If any man, woman, boy or girl would realize they are a sinner before God because they have done wrong and broken God’s laws and that all their good deeds/works will never get them any closer to Heaven; but that eternal salvation is based solely on what Jesus Christ has already done for them on the Cross. And if anyone would turn from their “good works” and their “bad deeds” and place their trust in Jesus Christ alone believing His death, burial and resurrection is the only sufficient way of salvation then they would get saved once and for all and forever and go to Heaven when they die! We are to then baptize the saved and disciple them to mature Christians to do likewise.
Likely that is enough to give you the heart of what we believe and for Whom we live! -Pastor Spence

WHAT TIME IS IT ?
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
A man in a certain town used to call the telephone operator every morning at about the same hour to ask for the correct time. One day the operator asked him why he did so.
“It’s like this,” the man replied, “I want to be very careful to get the exact time, because I am the one who blows the company’s whistle at noon.” “My”, exclaimed the operator, “I always set our clock by your whistle!” Like millions who are going around in the same confused circle in this world because they have no true standard on which to base their beliefs and values. The result is uncertainty, pride, fear, confusion, destruction and waste. Isaiah 59:14b says, “… for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” God had again and again hoisted a standard through the centuries for mankind signifying His rallying point where His truth, protection and blessing were found. Isaiah 49:22 “Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people..”. The Lord Jesus has maintained a standard for mankind and will keep it hoisted.
The Standard is not man-made plans or opinions but the very Words of the LORD – the Bible! John 5:39-40, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” John 10:35b, “.. the scripture cannot be broken.” Psalm 100:5 “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Psalm 117:2 “For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.”
Trust the never changing Standard, the Bible, given and preserved without error. It is kept by the omnipotent, never changing LORD. He has promised to have the Scriptures for all generations. It just so happens He has never failed to keep a promise. “Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” 1 Kings 8:56
“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2Corinthians 1:19-20 “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.” Titus 1:2

LOVING LIFE IS POSSIBLE IN JESUS CHRIST
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” 1 Peter 3:10-12
Almost two years ago, my dear father, became “absent from the body and … present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 He had reached 91 years and 17 days in our earth time. He has been present with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven ever since. Why? How? Because he turned from his sinfulness and turned to Jesus Christ alone by faith alone for his complete salvation over 57 years ago. When one goes to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sin and the “already paid for by Jesus blood – gift of everlasting life”, they receive exactly what He promised – an eternal salvation! SAVED FOREVER – because of what Jesus did FOR them in His death, burial, and resurrection! When my dad finally understood this he simply turned his whole case over to the Lord Jesus. He came to realize, like Jonah, “Salvation is of the LORD.”
There was an awakening time for my dad. He was attending the funeral of a nephew. The rabbi said “The LORD gave and the LORD hath taken away, blessed be the name of the LORD.” This enraged my father. He said to himself, “I’d rather have a man cuss me out than say that to me about my dead child.” As he thought on the power of life and death that the living and true God held in His hands, he vowed, “Lord, if you let me keep my little girl, I’ll do my best to please You and raise her right.”
This understanding of the power of God and the conviction of his sinfulness led him to truly seek the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 tells us, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” There was a time as he sought the Lord for help; so he attended a Church where some truly saved Bible believing men saw his condition and said, “Lonnie, you look like you are seeking the Lord.” My dad responded in tears, “I am; but I don’t know how to find him.” These men took him aside and prayed for him concerning the salvation of his soul through the merits of Jesus Christ.
It was soon after this encounter with the truth of Jesus Christ as Saviour that he trusted the Lord Jesus as his own God and Saviour. The LORD gave Lonnie a personal spiritual song at this time. “This my Love, my Love of fancy, this my God in Heaven above. He’s the One Who shows us mercy; He’s the One Who cares for my soul. The only One Whose heart is tender; the only One Whose heart’s not cold. This my Love, my Love of fancy, He’s my Jesus Who died for my soul.”
The opening passage of Bible verses in this article really depict how Lonnie Edwin Spence Sr. lived. There was a beginning. It started with the new life God gave to my dad when he trusted Jesus Christ as His personal Saviour! You too can have brand new life, a new start, the new nature of Jesus Christ in the heart; and a salvation that lasts forever! Place your faith in Jesus alone as your God and Saviour. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Power of Words
Published by pastor, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue..” A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and 2 of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the 2 frogs that they were as good as dead. The 2 frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to just stop the pain and die. But he jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Are you stupid? Didn’t you hear us?” The frog signed to them that he was deaf. And here, he had thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
There is power of life or death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it. So be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words …. it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. The Lord Jesus Christ stated, “.. the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, a nd believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
