Happy Mother’s Day
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
“No man is poor who has had a godly mother.” Abraham Lincoln
When Robert Ingersoll, the notorious atheist & skeptic, was in his heyday, two college students went to hear him lecture. As they walked down the street after the lecture, one said to the other, “Well, he knocked the props out from under Christianity, didn’t he?”
The other said, “No, I don’t think he did. Ingersoll did not explain my mother’s life, and until he can explain my mother’s life I will stand by my mother’s God.”
The mother of 3 notoriously rowdy youngsters was asked whether or not she’d have children if she had it to do over again.”Yes,” she said.”But not the same ones.”
“I cannot tell how much I owe to the prayers of my good mother. I remember her once praying, ‘Now Lord, if my children go on in sin it will not be from ignorance that they perish, and my soul must bear swift witness against them at the day of judgment if they lay not hold on Christ and claim Him as their personal Saviour.’” 19th century English Baptist Pastor, Charles H. Spurgeon, Metropolitan Tabernacle

Encouraging Thoughts

“The Reason Why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven’t yet come to the end of themselves. We’re still trying to give orders, and interfering with God’s work within us. “ A.W.Tozer
The True Heart of the Matter-Dr. Henry Morris
No matter what evidence is presented for the existence of God, it is always possible for the unbeliever to counter with some objection or with another question. No argument or combination of arguments can ever convince someone who does not want to submit to God. Even if he is completely overpowered and silenced by the arguments, he will still be of an unbelieving heart, and this is what really counts. “A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.”
Nevertheless, the evidence is there! For a person who sincerely desires the truth and is willing to believe, there is an abundance of proof concerning the fact of God and the character of God. The evidence is such as either to completely satisfy an open mind and heart or else to irrevocably condemn an unbelieving heart. For the latter, the only acceptable evidence may prove to be the heavy hand of God’s chastening judgments, and even this may only harden it yet more.
Do YOU Study God’s WORD Faithfully?
“Must everything in this world be
predigested? Does the Bible have to be
reduced to pablum? I refuse to believe that
modern man, who has split the atom and is
exploring space, is unable to cope with the
grandeur and glory of the King James Version.” -Winston Churchill
Do YOU PRAY Faithfully ?
“Thou art coming to a King
Large petitions with thee bring
For His grace and power are such,
None can ever ask too much.”

Salvation, Evangelism and Forgiveness
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Thank You Lord for saving my soul; Thank You Lord for making me whole;
Thank You Lord for giving to me; Thy great salvation so rich and free!
I was lost but Jesus found me; I was blind but now I can see;
I was bound but He set me free; Now I am His for eternity!
The following is by Dr. Harry Ironside, from his commentary on John’s First Epistle. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9.
In the Old Testament’s [Mosaic system] men were to come to God with an offering and confess that they had sinned in that thing. This implies definiteness in confession. I am afraid many of us really never get to God in confession because we are so indefinite. Somebody prays and says,“If Thou hast seen any sin, anything amiss in me, forgive me.” Hold on a minute! Is there anything amiss; do you know of anything amiss?
The proper way to make confession is to come to God acknowledging the wrong I have done. Oh, dear friends, if you want blessing, get into the presence of God and tell Him all about it, about that bad temper, about that scandalous tongue, about all the things that grieve His Holy Spirit.
Some of you say, “I pray for my husband, I would like him to be converted.” He is more likely to be converted if you will say, “O God, I confess that my bad temper is hindering my husband from being saved, it is alienating my children; and I am not surprised that my friends are not converted.”
Then go to them, as well, and make confession to them. If you have been saying it was nervousness when it was really bad temper, confess that it is temper, and stop trying to excuse sin. God will cleanse us and then with the washing of the Word, give victory in our lives, and enable us to live here to His praise and glory.
The “Forgiven” ought to be ready to ask for forgiveness for their wrongs. As well, the “Forgiven” ought to be forgiving.

Jesus Died, Was Buried and Rose From The Dead – For YOU and Me !
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor.15:3-4
If Jesus did not rise from the dead, the Christian faith is a foolish fantasy. However, if the resurrection of Christ did occur, it confirms His life, message, and atoning work. It is the basis of true Christian’s hope of life beyond the grave. Our Saviour is alive, and the evidence is overwhelming. Here are some of the reasons we can be so sure.
1) Jesus predicted His resurrection-Mat16:21; Mrk9:9,10; Jn2:18-22.
2)The OT prophesied it-Psalm 16:10; cf Acts 2:25-31; 13:33-37
3)The tomb was empty and the grave clothes vacant. If those who opposed Christ wished to silence His disciples, all they had to do was produce a body, but they could not-John 20:3-9
4) Hundreds saw the resurrected Christ-looked on His face, touched Him, heard His voice, and saw Him eat- Matt. 28:16-20; Luke 24:13-39; John 20:11-29; John 21:1-9; Acts 1:6-11; 1 Cor. 15:3-8
5) The lives of the disciples were revolutionized. Though they fled and even denied Jesus at the time of His arrest, they later feared no one in their proclamation of the risen Christ-Matt 26:56, 69-75; The Book of Acts
6) The resurrection was the central message of the early Churches. Christianity grew with an unwavering conviction that Jesus had risen and was both Lord and Christ-Acts 2:36; 4:33; 5:30-32; Rom.5:24
7) Men and women today testify that the power of the risen Christ has transformed their lives. We know that Jesus is alive not only because of the historical and Biblical evidence but also because He has miraculously changed our lives for now and eternity.
The Risen-Ascended Lord Jesus Christ said in Revelation 1:17c-18:
“.. Fear not; I am the first and the last (Jesus Jehovah Christ=the Eternal Word)
I am he that liveth (His Eternity Past, His Incarnation & Sinless Life on earth),
and was dead (He was crucified-He bled & died for our sins and was buried)
and, behold, I am alive for evermore (Resurrected-Ascended & Returning Lord, Saviour & King),
Amen … ”

Why JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
(If you missed it – here are the main parts of FRIEND Day Message, 2013)
“God created humankind to be His friends.” (Oswald Chambers) Yes, God made man and woman to be in relationship with Him – in that relationship – on-going fellowship, viz. harmonious friendship.
Many years ago, musicians noted that errand boys in a certain part of London, England, all whistled out of tune as they went about their work. Someone discovered that it was because the bells of Westminster were out of tune. Something had gone wrong with the chimes and they were discordant. The boys did not know there was anything wrong with the peals, and quite unconsciously they had copied their pitch. Humankind has become discordant through their sinfulness. With the spread of discordant thought through the vast centuries, many of one generation after the other has copied the skewed and warped views from man’s heart that are out of harmony with God and His Way of Salvation revealed in His Word, the Bible. God has given us His Word which is the absolute pitch of salvation, life and living. If we learn to believe and live God’s Word, we will be in tune and back in harmony with the Lord Jesus Christ. Hence, we shall then more easily detect the false in all of the “music” of the world. Jesus is the only One in perfect pitch and in tune with heaven and holiness and the Salvation. He Himself has composed and sounded out Truth’s Symphony for mankind with perfect pitch melody and harmony from Calvary’s Cross almost 2,000 years ago.
This perfect God has given Himself so as to be the Perfect Friend by first being the Perfect Saviour. Our sin problem must be addressed, must be remedied to bring God and man back into harmony. God Himself designed Salvation’s Plan. His Salvation Plan is the only acceptable remedy for bringing reconciliation (loving harmony) between God and man. Here are the measures, the steps, God has taken to make us realize He is our best Friend.
I. Jesus Christ is the Sovereign (all-powerful, all-knowing) Saviour
A. HE Created Us- Psalm 33:6, 9 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. John.1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
B. HE Designed Us-Made our DNA/genetics -the whole hereditary business by placing us in the family of His choosing. Ps. 139: 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Colossians 1:17 ..and He is before all things and By Him all things consist. (consist=banded and composed together”)
You Need to know You have a Sovereign Saviour – An All Powerful, All Knowing Friend – Who has had you in mind from eternity past Psalm .8:4 “What is man that thou art mindful of him? You need to know as well the you have a sinless Saviour.
II. Jesus Christ is a Sinless Saviour. You and I need our very Best Friend to be a sinless Saviour. 1John.3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
A. Jesus became our Sacrifice – 1 John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (to be the complete satisfactory payment for OUR sin)
B. Jesus became our Substitute - 1Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 2Corinthians .5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Since Jesus paid for our sin for us – our part is to believe and receive Him and accept what HE ONLY COULD do for us and if we accept what Jesus our Best Friend did for us – We won’t go to Hell. In fact when we receive/accept Jesus as our personal Saviour – He forgives our sin; when we receive/accept Jesus as our personal Saviour – he imputes to us His righteousness in place of our sinfulness; when we receive/accept Jesus as our personal Saviour - He exchanges our guilt for His innocence; when we receive/accept Jesus as our personal Saviour – He replaces our death sentence in hell’s lake of fire with resurrection power and eternal life; when we receive/accept Jesus as our personal Saviour - Jesus births us into the Family of God and His kingdom so that we are sealed and forever His. The “extended warranty” Jesus bought for us is an everlasting warranty. Only an Eternal all-powerful God and Saviour-Friend, could give and guarantee an everlasting/eternal salvation with a future Home in Heaven! Hallelujah !!!
III. Jesus Christ is a Supportive Saviour Hebrews 13:5 ..for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
A. Never will leave Never Can leave us. 1Cor.6:17 We are one in Jesus Christ
B. He supplies us with daily strength and grace thru His Word and His Spirit-He calls us to His Word to grow in Relationship with Him.
C. He calls us to prayer to develop that Relationship He began when He saved us.
D. He calls you to Church so you can be encouraged in Relationship with other Believers that are growing and developing and walking by Faith and giving others this very Gospel message..

So – HEY – Don’t forget to set your clocks ONE HOUR FORWARD Saturday night before bedtime! To be late for FRIEND Day would be – so sad – a true tragedy – a vexation of spirit – a definite bother!
Your BEST Friend- JESUS CHRIST – Invites You
to spend your Eternity with Him in Heaven!
Here is what the Bible, God’s Word, says we must know:
Not one of us can save ourselves or produce the righteousness (100% perfection) required to gain entrance into Heaven. But, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, says in spite of religion -You Can Be Saved & Know It!
1. WE ALL HAVE SINNED. Every one of us has done wrong with lies, stealing, or hating, cursing, & more, all breaking God’s laws. The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:10 & 23
2. THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS DEATH.“For the wages of sin is death” Rom. 6:23a This is not just physical death but spiritual eternal death, forever separated from God in Hell. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”Rev. 20:15
3. JESUS DIED TO PAY FOR OUR SINS. “..God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom.5:8
God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, the sinless Jesus Christ, to shed His blood & die for our sins on Calvary’s Cross, be buried,& rise from the dead on the third day. After,He was seen by 100‘s of witnesses! He is alive for evermore! JESUS, Himself, did for US what we do not deserve & paid for that which we could never pay for ourselves.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Jn.15:13 God wants to give us righteousness for our sinfulness and give us everlasting life for the eternal death penalty from our sin.
4. JESUS AROSE FROM THE DEAD. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Rom.10:9 Jesus Christ, resurrected with victory over sin, death & Hell for us! Jesus is the ONLY Saviour ! HE IS The Truth. HE IS The Life. Jesus IS The ONLY Way to Heaven. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Rom.6:23b He is the Heavenly Father’s Gift to us. A gift is free because it is paid for by Someone else; but This Gift is not cheap. It cost God the Saviour, the highest price ever paid anywhere, His very own precious blood. Friend, when one is offered a priceless gift, any wise person would open their hand and receive it, that is, accept it completely.
5. OPEN YOUR HEART and RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR – Your Best Friend “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” Rom.10:13, John 1:12, Acts16:31
Wholeheartedly call upon the Lord Jesus to save you :
“Lord Jesus, I believe that You are God and that You alone shed Your
blood and died to pay for my sin on Calvary’s Cross! You rose from
the dead as victorious Saviour and Lord! Be merciful to me a sinner,
Lord, I can’t save myself. Forgive my sin and be my personal Saviour.
Come into my heart and life, Lord. I’m placing my full trust in You alone.
Thank You for keeping Your promises! Lord, help me to live my life for
You, until that time You take me Home to be with You in Heaven! Amen.”
Did you understand and did you just honestly “Call upon the Lord Jesus to save you?
Then please let us know! We’d be delighted to help you further.

HIS FAITHFULNESS
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Lack of trust is at the root of almost all our sins and weaknesses; and how shall we escape but by looking to God and observing HIS faithfulness. The man who hold’s God’s faithfulness will not be foolhardy or reckless, but he will be ready for every emergency. The man who holds God’s faithfulness will dare to obey Him however unwise it may appear. Abraham held God’s faithfulness and offered up Isaac, “accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead”. Hebrews 11:19
Moses held God’s faithfulness and led millions of Israel into the waste, howling wilderness. Joshua knew Israel well, and was ignorant neither of the fortifications of the Canaanites nor their military prowess, but he held God’s faithfulness and led Israel across Jordan. The apostles held God’s faithfulness, and were not daunted by the hatred of the Jews or the hostility of the heathen.
“And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” Hebrews 11:32-34
Satan too has his creed: Doubt God’s faithfulness! “Yea, hath God said?” Genesis .3:1 Satan says, “Are you not mistaken as to God’s commands? He could not really mean what He says. You take an extreme view and give a much too literal meaning to Scripture?”
How constantly, and alas, how successfully are such arguments used to prevent wholehearted consecration and dedication to God! How many estimate difficulties in the light of their own resources and thus attempt little and often fail in the little they attempt! All God’s giants have been weak men, who did great things for God because they reckoned on His being with them.
O, Beloved Friends, if there is a living God, faithful and true, let us hold His faithfulness. Holding His faithfulness, we may face with calm and quiet but confident assurance of victory over every difficulty and danger. We may count on grace for work, on financial aid, on needful facilities, and on ultimate success. Let us not give Him a partial trust, but daily, hourly serve Him, counting on HIS faithfulness! – J.Hudson Taylor
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

Jesus Christ IS the Only One Who came to this earth through a miraculous virgin birth and lived a totally sinless life. He is the only One Who shed His blood and died on the Cross paying for your sins and mine. He was buried and then rose from the dead. The resurrected Jesus was seen by 100’s of witnesses and is alive for evermore. This proves that He is truly God and that He truly loves us.
“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.” 1 John 3:5 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Salvation is given to any one who comes to Jesus Christ just as they are, i.e. a hopeless sinner needing the Saviour. The sinner must come to Jesus Christ believing on Him, as the living victorious Lord and Saviour, Who as both God and man, fought our fight and won it, accepted our debt as His own and paid it, took our sins and died under them and rose again to set us free. This is the true God and Saviour Jesus Christ …. and nothing less will do!
“Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:17b-18 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
What is wisest thing to do when offered a priceless Gift? Open your hand and accept and receive it. Right now open your heart and Accept and Receive for yourself the everlasting Christmas present – Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 Call upon the Lord Jesus like this to forgive you, give you His righteousness, everlasting life, and a Home in Heaven – forever!
“O Lord Jesus, I come to You as a sinner knowing my works and religion condemn me and cannot save me. I need Your forgiveness and salvation. Lord, I believe You shed Your blood and died on the cross to pay for all my sin. I also believe You rose from the dead. I ask You now Lord to forgive me; I open my heart and ask You to come in with Your gifts of righteousness and everlasting life and save my soul forever. Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen !”

“THE HYMNS OF CHRISTMAS” DEC.16th 11am & 6pm
Published by admin, under Uncategorized. No Comments.
Our Church Christmas program this year is unique and a delight! “The Hymns of Christmas” Have you ever wondered how those Christmas songs came about, i.e. the background of people and circumstances? … and the most important message revealed by the writer/composers? – The Christ of Christmas! Come and be enlightened and uplifted by all you will see and hear. Victory Baptist Church-19869 Fraser Hwy, Langley.
God’s Christmas Gift For You-Salvation! How You Can Know You are Going to Heaven- In Spite of Religion and Atheists!!
1. GOD LOVES YOU. 1John 4:10 says, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the (payment) propitiation for our sins.” (This means Jesus, sinless Son of God, was the only One qualified and the only One Who made the complete satisfactory payment for all our sins). The Bible teaches that regardless of your age, background, race, or any other factor, God loves you and wants you saved from your sins and on your way to Heaven.
2. We All Are sinners in the same boat. Rom.3:10 & 23 says,“There is none righteous… For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” No one is perfect. We have all done wrong and broken God’s laws. This is sin, and it separates us from God. No one can do enough good stuff to get themselves in to Heaven. Will you admit to God that you are a sinner needing to be saved and that you can’t save yourself?
3. The Penalty for Sin Is Eternal Death. Rom.6:23a “For the wages of sin is death…” Rev.20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
4. Jesus Shed His Blood & Died To Pay For Our Sins. Rom. 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Resurrected From The Dead In Victory Over Sin & Death. 1Cor.15:3-4 “Christ died for our sins…he was buried, and..he rose again the third day..”… and [He} is alive for evermore.”
5. The Gift of Salvation Is Eternal Life. Jesus Invites You To Be Saved Today. Rom.6:23b “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” Rom.10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” CALL upon the LORD Jesus as your God and Saviour to forgive you and save your soul & HE WILL!
“O Lord Jesus, I now turn to You from my sinfulness; I trust Your death and resurrection to pay for my sins and save me. I believe on You alone as my Saviour and Lord. Forgive me, Lord Jesus, come in to my heart and life and save me. I thank You for Your salvation and Heaven as my Home! Amen!”
